d6

How It Works

The Dice Roller simulates rolling polyhedral dice commonly used in tabletop role-playing games like D&D, Pathfinder, and other systems. Each roll uses a cryptographically secure random number generator for fair results.

How to Use
  1. Select a die type (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, or d100)
  2. Set the number of dice to roll (1–100)
  3. Optionally add a positive or negative modifier
  4. Click "Roll" or use a quick preset
  5. View individual die results, total, and running statistics
Dice Notation

Standard dice notation uses the format NdS+M where:

  • N = number of dice to roll
  • d = die (separator)
  • S = number of sides on each die
  • +M = modifier added to the total (optional)

For example, 2d6+3 means roll two six-sided dice and add 3 to the total.

Common Dice Types
  • d4 — Tetrahedron. Used for small damage (daggers) and minor effects
  • d6 — Cube. The most common die, used in many board games
  • d8 — Octahedron. Medium weapon damage, hit dice
  • d10 — Pentagonal trapezohedron. Damage, percentile rolls
  • d12 — Dodecahedron. Heavy weapon damage (greataxe)
  • d20 — Icosahedron. Attack rolls, ability checks, saving throws
  • d100 — Percentile. Wild magic, loot tables, random encounters
Tip: All randomization happens in your browser using crypto.getRandomValues() — nothing is sent to any server.
